Slack City
I'm one day away from going 2 whole months without a blog post. This is unacceptable! I don't have an excuse. Well, okay, I have lots of excuses....
And before I go into them, I must say that my friend Kate has labeled me and demanded that I can't go on if I don't resume posting. She also maintains that she can't go on it I don't resume posting.
Excuses:
#1 - I am a giant slacker.
#2 - My husband wrecked my Jeep (not on purpose, of course - some story about a non-licensed driver with no insurance in someone else's car - who also didn't have insurance) and we are on the third time trying to get it fixed completely (whatever happened to people doing a good job??)
#3 - My husband broke his right ankle in the crash (avulsion fracture of the talus and ruptured every ligament in his ankle) - we will be starting week 8 of him being off work, unable to walk much and week 2 of physical therapy 3x week.
#4 - Work is very time consuming.
#5 - My dear friend Annette's wedding is coming up in May so I have been "showering" and preparing for showers and will be attending/throwing more showers. As well, my cousin Braxton's wedding reception is in 2 weekends so I will be attending that in my hometown.
#6 - I have been waiting for over a week to plant my perennials but the weather will not cooperate - freezing and thawing and eroding the dirt with all the wind. This is definitely the most important reason I have not blogged in ALMOST 2 months.
#7 - My brother is coming to visit. Finally. This hasn't happened yet but I can't tell you for sure that it will keep me from blogging.
There you go. Seven reasons. Seven is a lucky number. I married my wonderful husband on the 7th of October.
What else has been going on?

What else has been going on?
- I finally visited S&B Burger joint
- We attended the OKC Redhawks season opener - it was Sonic family night and we got Sonic burgers, our tickets (and even a fourth for Larry King--yes! He went to the game with us. He and Cody are friends), 4 Redhawks hats, and fireworks after the game.
- We had an amazing Easter - going to the Easter Vigil Mass with family and the boys joining the Church.
- We are making plan to fly to Chicago in July for my continuing education conference.
- Cody is somewhat diligently studying for his Geometry EOI. He buried his truck Friday right before we were supposed to leave for the baseball game.
- The hand soap in Cody's bathroom disappeared when guests needed it. The bottle wasn't empty. It turns out he has been using the hand soap in the shower because he ran out of soap and didn't tell anyone. He thinks it works just as well as regular soap.
- Pioneer woman's Spicy Pulled Pork is a great recipe.
- Stewdy is devising multiple plans to sneak out and eat Rambo's food.
- Rambo is afraid of storms and jumps in my lap while I'm watching the weather on the couch. He's no light weight.
- We had nickel sized hail on Easter weekend. Do you think it was a sign?
- I'm making a gardening/backyard planning journal for the future plans to turn the space into an amazing retreat. Someday. When we when the lottery.
- We changed from Cox to Dish and are loving it. The picture on our TVs is so much better and we actually get movies now.
- I finished the "Matched" trilogy and it was really good.

My life is complete again. Oh how I have missed your truly incessant ramblings, my dear A. And what a comeback too! I suppose I should get to blogging again...you've set such a good example.
