What I'm Reading Now.....
This is no simple question.
Let me preface by saying that I am back to work. After almost 11 months off, shoulder surgery, partial rehab and the like, I am back to struggling through 11 or 12 hour days. Needless to say, my reading time has been substantially halted. My Goodread's lists are mounting and my typical nighttime reading routine is falling since my head hits the pillow and my eyelids immediately flutter closed.
So, here we go.

So, here we go.
- I am halfway through the reading material for my photography class from NYIP. I love it. I want to delve in more but my spare time is a sliver of it's previous self. Also, I am stuck on metering. I keep taking my camera out to snap some shots of a subject with a bright background and I can't seem to alter the pictures any with the help of metering. I am a metering failure.
- I am almost halfway through John Le Carre's "The Mission Song." What to say about this book? Slow. Lots of Congolese politics. Lots of people speak Swahili and other African languages. If it doesn't get better, I will have a hard time giving it more than 2 stars or a recommendation.
- I can't remember number three at this moment because there is a very pesky fly that keeps diving for my head. I don't know how he got in here but he is driving me to distraction and also to talk out loud to myself, furthering the sudden vacancy of my right mind.
- "Another Day in the Frontal Lobe," by Katrina Firlik. I really like this book. I think it is sad and ridiculous that I have been trying to get through it for like, well, probably 1+ years. I like the inside jokes. I get the references. I am 3/4 of the way through the book and I tell myself daily, "Just finish it! Geez!" I think maybe I am tantalized by all the other books on my to-read list causing me to start another one. And another one. I have a problem.
- Currently reading but haven't technically started yet is Charlie Higson's, "The Enemy." I am making myself finish some other titles first. And Higson's book is a series. A substantial one. This is problematic because I can't read just one. I HAVE to read them all. And I have many series on the back burner. I really want to start the "Outlander" series but I am punishing myself by reading books that have been on the list longer.
