You can see the effect parenthood has on my blog.....
I can't promise that I'll improve upon my sporadic extended hiatus. All I can say is that the first 3 months of parenthood nearly killed me. Now, it's heaven. That little boy has captured our hearts. If I could freeze him right now, at the age of 18 months, I totally would. He is hands down the cutest, the funniest, the teacher's pet. His white-blond Albert Einstein hair with it's little curls in the back is already breaking hearts. I love that kid.
This morning, as the bad weather/ice/rain moves in, I have a few distinct moments alone to savor a morning without work. This doesn't come without much guilt as my husband took my baby, screaming for his mommy, to daycare/school because I couldn't take him all the places I have to go in a little while. So for the first time in months, maybe longer, I am sitting down with a cup of coffee and blogging.
Okay, so here's a quick recap of what has happened in last 18 months:

Okay, so here's a quick recap of what has happened in last 18 months:
- We had a perfect little blond "funyun" who is the light of our lives
- Cody joined the Army and is in an infantry unit at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs. He is on track to get his E4 early and is excelling! We are so proud.
- We sold our house in Yukon and moved to the Tulsa area. It was bittersweet. We loved that house, the area and our friends! (We miss you! You know who you are!)
- We found an amazing house over here in Green Country and we love, love, love it even more than we thought we would.
- I am now a Chief of Staff over 3 veterinary hospitals and enjoying keeping up with 7 doctors who challenge me daily (as do some of the clients over here!)
- Kyle really loves the relative flexibility of his new position, meeting some great people here, and getting off the highway.
- When we moved, Rambo, our Belgian Malinois, had to be transferred to a new handler. We were very sad. He has since been retired and after 5 months, he has come home to us.
- Stewdy Baker has made himself quite at home in the new house, and is still tackling his anxiety about the baby, the move, losing and getting Rambo back, by licking the air and driving his daddy crazy.
- We have enjoyed being closer to my family and that Trent will get to grow up with his cousins, Eli and Case.
- We have all been sick with colds, strep, stomach virus, etc. since we moved. All these different strains of bugs over here.
- We are enjoying our new parish here at St. Anne's and love the congregation, Fr. Kastl, and the Church.
- We have made many new friends and gotten to spend time with life-long friends.
What we are looking forward to:
- Maybe blogging occasionally?
- I am planning to try bullet journaling. We. will. see. If you could see the sticky notes and 6 different notebooks in my work binders......
- Taking advantage of the many outdoor opportunities around here. Hiking, fly fishing, diving. You name it.
- Many more family get-togethers.
- Watching our little prodigy grow.
- I am going next weekend to check out a racquet club with my high school tennis partner, Tawny. I am super excited about the thought of playing again, but also apprehensive because I haven't played since I had shoulder surgery in 2014.
- Kyle and I have started a 30-day plank challenge and a 30-day burpee challenge. The end result is 70 burpees. I might die.
My mind is swimming with future blog post titles, my daily task list is growing. I hope I will have time. I will have to add blogging into my daily routine in my bullet journal that I have yet to create. Maybe it will happen once a week? Maybe.
I should really take a picture of the sticky notes in my work binder. Another idea.....
Until we meet again.....
