The funniest presentation yet...

An older gentleman came into the clinic with a poodle. He said she just wasn't herself today and I proceeded by asking him a series of questions to obtain an appropriate history about the animal. I was mildly surprised when I asked him to expand on what it was exactly that she was doing that made today different. No, okay I was shocked and trying not to explode with laughter. This is what he said, "I just knew there was something wrong when she didn't want to get dressed this morning. She just laid there on my pillow and had no interest in getting dressed at all." To this I replied, "I'm so sorry. Let's see if we can figure out why she isn't feeling too good today." The physical examination and bloodwork came back spotless. The poodle was bright, alert, and responsive and did, in fact, get dressed in a pink and white striped dress with a rhinestone crown on the front. I began thinking of all the possible reasons she might not have wanted to get dressed: 1. She didn't like her outfit this morning. 2. She's a teenager. 3. She stayed out all night drinking and couldn't muster the energy to get up early this morning and get dressed. There are a million options. He took the dog home for observation and I believe she is doing just fine and I also think he took her out and bought her some new outfits.
