Where the Wind Comes Sweeping Down the Plain
I don't think this is just in Oklahoma. I'll tell you that Texas packs some pretty good wind gusts too. I welcome them at the moment because it cools down the 90-something degrees that most days are although I hear tiny whispers of the 80's coming soon.
It's Labor Day once again. The end to summer. The unlaboring of mankind. Except for me. I'm on-call and filtering through the mass phone calls - mostly people who think that by some miracle we might be open today or that don't have any interest in paying an emergency fee. I'm laboring or Labor Day. Is that an oxymoron?
I hope all the rest of you are UNlaboring today (mostly because people that work overtime are 60% more likely to have a heart attack). Great. Just my luck. Eat some homemade ice cream for me.
