The Squeaky Wheel

Have you ever wondered why it is that the saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the oil," is so true?  This phenomenon consists of people going out of their way to be rude, to be difficult, to cause problems and issues.  They rationalize that if they make a fuss, draw attention to themselves, or cause a scene that they will get exactly what they want.

When did mature adults decide that behaving like a tantrum-having toddler was the way to go??

When did we, as a society, decide that this behavior was acceptable and that these people get whatever they please?  Or better yet, that we go out of our way to accomodate their outrageous, unwarranted requests just to calm them, satisfy them, or or keep them from making false claims to governing boards.

You know what?!?  Let the freaking wheel squeak.  Get some of those bluetooth  wireless Dr Dre Beats headphones I saw at Best Buy the other day and turn up your favorite tunes and drown out the craziness.  Let them scream.  Let them yell.  And then let them go home and go on about your day.  Or call the cops on them and then put on your headphones.

I'm trying to get back on here and follow people again and do a little writing myself. It's helping me clear my head. I love your blog, and hope you and Kyle are doing good!
