Our Neck of The Woods
Because of my delinquent effort to keep diligently posting on here, I have to come up with nondescript titles that encompass 18 days worth of topics. It's not ideal I tell you! It's shameful. But my creativity has been quelled by my injury-laden self and my thoughts run together before I get them into written form.
Here's what is going on at the ranch:
I am getting my physical therapy evaluation this afternoon. Insurance only pays for 10 sessions before surgery. It will take until the first third of January before I will finish the sessions. Workers' comp is slow as molasses.
I am almost done Christmas shopping...just a few select people left.
I am still reading Louis L'Amour's autobiography, "Education of a Wandering Man." And I'm still under the radar. (Heh heh) Here's my latest favorite quote: "It is often said that one has but one life to live, but that is nonsense. For one who reads, there is no limit to the number of lives that may be lived, for fiction, biography, and history offer an inexhaustible number of lives in many parts of the world, in all periods of time." So. True.
I also just finished the second book, "Prodigy" in Marie Lu's Legend triology. I can't wait to see what happens next. War, betrayal, and action. Day can't die! He can't!
The cold front is expected to arrive this afternoon...right as I am going to physical therapy. I have found that I am on a strict deadline this week to put away all the fall décor and get out the Christmas decorations. The reason is that since Kyle is having surgery Monday he won't be able to drag the boxes down from the attic. I have to do all of this one-armed. I feel like the one-armed bandit.
Also, I feel it very important to leave Santa a very detailed list. I mean, how else will he know?? I'm so glad people know this about me.
Until later....
Here's what is going on at the ranch:
- I am injured. I have been off since September 9th (minus a brief stint standing in a sling with an iced shoulder for a week at work)
- Kyle is injured. He's been injured for 18 years when he had a rappelling accident and cut a cast off. (Smart, I tell you, smart) He's having surgery on his left big toe Monday.
- Cody is injured. He got a mean twist to his left knee at the Yukon Open Wrestling Tourney last Saturday. Right after his previous match where he beat the number 1 seed at his weight. I'll try to post the injury video.
- We are quite the family.
- Stewdy and Rambo are just fine. They are the only ones.
