Water and phone calls
You won't believe what just happened to me. I just had THE best hot shower ever. The remarkable part of that equation is that I am on-call this weekend. I had a hot shower AND the on-call phone did not ring. Do you know what that means? Good things do happen sometimes.
I am recently and currently compiling a scientific relationship between turning water on and the on-call phone going off. I'm thinking its sort of like "1984" except that Big Brother is a collection of clients. They are "watching" me. If I go to the bathroom, water my plants, wash my dishes, brush my teeth, or heaven forbid, take a shower they sure let me have it. Its against the rules for me to establish myself as busy in any way, even for a few minutes. Hence the point, the phone just rang when I sat down to write this. Except that disproves my hypothesis that water is involved. Never mind. It's outside the data collection area. There really is a remarkable relationship.
I have found no correlation with the on-call phone and the hair dryer as of yet, but I shall be off to test that immediately. I hope you are all enjoying the lovely, lovely Saturday. I am currently missing my family's annual Oktoberfest (this year in November) and spending time with my significant other's family as they shop around Canadian, Texas and eat at the fantabulous steak place there. I haven't eaten there since I did my research in the Texas panhandle. It would have been nice.....as the Germanfest would have been too. I hope to see everyone soon.
And remember, don't turn on the water.
