Hiking Helmets

My friend Kate and I recently visited one of  OKC's mountain biking areas near Lake Hefner.  You can hike on the trails also -- as long as you get out of the way of the bikers.  Quickly.  Anyway, it was a lovely cool afternoon and we arrived, parked and located the trailhead.  There was a sign that said: "Helmets Required."

Kate says, "What!? Helmets?? Oh no, we don't have helmets."

("Kate, I don't know about you, but I walk just fine without a helmet.")

She will never live that one down.  Guess I know what she's getting for Christmas.
