Surviving Shoulder Surgery: Bad Living Room Furniture

The robotic chair of torture

This is what I am doing now.  Six long hours per day...

I have little time for blogging because by the time I spend 6 hours on this beauty, the rest is spent showering, eating and trying to get comfortable.  The first couple of days of passive motion you think, man, I've got this!  Then as you increase the abduction and rotation, you don't feel so good about it.  And neither does your arm.

I can wash my hair one-handed now, but not dry or fix it.  I don't have the go ahead to use my own muscles yet...6 weeks at least.  I'm not sure there will be a shred of musculature left!  So, beanies are an important part of my wardrobe for at least another few weeks.  Also, still no driving-which is probably a good thing.

All in all, progress is the word.  But it's slow with few interesting breakthroughs.  However, you'll want to stay tuned for the next post ;).
