Bummin' Around, Gettin' No Where Slow
Once again I've gotten too busy to appropriately update my blog. I've been working extra hours, took one vacation day, and resumed business writing recommendation letters, caught up on fall cleaning, and stressed out about the hard economic times. This past weekend was Oktoberfest in Newcastle. It was another successful family function -- and even though I was late I still got struedel and Uncle Karl's rolls.
The weather has finally got a fall nip in it and upon my return home today my house was 69 degrees with no air conditioner. It's divine. My neighbors have their heat on -- a little excessive and early if I might say. The weather is perfect.
I had another hit-by-car (HBC) horse on emergency last week. It had a broken pelvis.
I visited the pumpkin patch in the rain today. I got one pumpkin for carving, a white one (ghost pumpkin) for painting and a few other small ones. It was muddy but overall a very fun experience.
