OVO
For the longest time I've wanted to experience a Cirque du Soleil performance. My dear friend Annette and I went to their latest show, "OVO" in Frisco, TX. I don't even have words. Okay, you know me too well. I do have words. The insect costumes were enchanting. The Brazilian music - catchy. The amazing feats - awe-inspiring and ghast-producing. The script and insect "language" - amusing and cheeky. Lifesize ants, bees, grasshoppers, fleas, spiders, a lady bug and many more entertained me for a full two and a half hours of pure delight. OVO gets my vote as a fantastic production. I bought the soundtrack. You can be certain that I will be dancing in my SUV along to the magnificent quirky South American tunes of insects. I might even add in some arm movements. A seat salsa? Don't put it past me.
I think my favorite act was the rock wall and the trampoline feats. What energy and outstanding feats!! If you have a chance to see this production -- Go. You won't be sorry. I might even let you borrow the soundtrack. But only if you're nice - and you give it back.
