Individuals' Audacity

I was shocked to see the Vice-President of the United States whisper to the President when the health care bill passed, a disgraceful word that has become the subject of many a media target. So much for wanting children to watch the news to learn about politics. All they learn is how to cuss these days! In order to maintain "politically correct" we'll say this word is "effing" and leave it at that.

You'd also think that in light of the media and the very publicized remark by Joe Biden that I would not be able to give you at least two other examples of this controversial word being used in my every day life. I had a client (we'll call her Mary) who was a woman in her 60's who had a beloved dog that was not in good shape. "Mary" called the clinic daily to "threaten" everyone. Thankfully, this was not my case and I had nothing to do with "Mary" or her dog, but everyone else did. Mary got downright angry that we washed the dog's blanket because it vomited all over it. She got even more angry that we hung the blanket on the door of the kennel to prevent the same thing from happening 5 minutes later. She was anything but amicable about no one being at her beck and call on Sunday because the on-call veterinarian was in fact, on call. But the best was that she called the clinic threatening to "rip our effing heads off" if she wasn't given what she wanted when she wanted it.

Through all this I'm thinking the world is no place for children. Why should innocent little ears have to be subjected to all this craziness? I end this random musing with the fact that a procedure today became removal of one big effing mass -- just to commemorate the state of the world today. I have doubts about where we are headed....

  1. I totally agree! I guess that's why our tv stays on Nick Jr. most of the time. Now if only i could get Kyle to watch his language.
