Zany Zebra Monday

Today was flat out busy. We started with a zebra at 8:30 am this morning and ended with a bulldog C-section at 8:30 pm tonight. We did a splenectomy with a canteloupe sized mass on it out of a Boxer. Everything else was pretty routine. The theme of the day was "a woman with power tools." I worked on a bull's foot and used a DeWalt grinder and the owners remarked, "uh oh, a woman with power tools...watch out." I threatened to use it on them. Then I had to power drill an intramedullary pin into a little Beagle's femur, but no one witnessed that one.

The only other excitement besides my boyfriend jumping out of helicopters is that my little brother put in an offer on a house!! I feel so old.
